TAMELA D. BOWIE

Tamela earned her B.A. in Political Science (along with a Paralegal Certificate) from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. After graduating, Tamela worked in corporate America as a paralegal for a small law firm, then as a Contract Analyst for Prudential Healthcare. After 5 years in corporate America, Tamela decided it was time for a career change and obtained a Life & Health Insurance License where she worked as an Independent Insurance agent for AFLAC, then later obtained her Property & Casualty Insurance. After obtaining her Property & Casualty License, she started Bowie Insurance in 1999.
Tamela’s current board affiliations include the City of Lewisville 2025 Vision Board and the City of Lewisville TRIZ #1 Board. Tamela’s past board memberships consist of the City of Lewisville Community Block Grant Advisory Board and IIAD’s Jim Millerman Board.
In Tamela’s free time, she owns and operates an interior design boutique firm, “Tamela Bowie Interiors” and she teaches insurance with Texas Insurance Training Academy. Tamela loves to read, share the Good News of Jesus Christ and is a prolific writer.
LEE J. BOWIE
Lee worked in corporate America as a Corporate Sales Representative for then Bally’s Total Fitness for 11 years before joining his wife in the insurance industry. Lee obtained his Life & Health Insurance License in 2001 and partnered with Bowie Insurance where he is a dynamic agent specializing in Life, Health, Medicare, and Annuities products.
In Lee’s spare time, he loves to fish, cook, ride mini bikes with his nephews and he especially loves sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.
